Ukraine attacks Russian ammunition depot, blast destroys a market, hospital and houses

Kyiv Agency. The Ukrainian army attacked a Russian ammunition depot in southern Ukraine at night. Giving information to this effect, Ukrainian officials said that pictures of a bigger explosion have come on the Internet media. The Ukrainian military’s southern command said the rocket hit an ammunition depot in Russian-held Nova Kakhovka. The Ukrainian military appears to have used the US-provided High Mobility Artillery Rocket System (HIMARS). Russia’s Tass news agency said a mineral fertilizer storage center was targeted. A market, hospital and houses were destroyed by the blast.

Iran to provide drones to Russia
The White House said on Monday that it believes Russia is turning to Iran for “hundreds” of drones intended to be used in the Ukraine war. It said it also included drones capable of carrying weapons. US National Security Adviser Jake Sullivan said it was not clear whether Iran had previously provided any drones to Russia. He also said the US has “information” indicating that Iran is preparing to train Russian troops to use them this month.

Putin will go to Iran next week
Russian President Vladimir Putin will visit Iran next week. Kremlin spokesman Dmitry Peskov said that Putin will attend a meeting with Iran and Turkey for talks on Syria during his visit to Tehran next Tuesday.
